What is the Freedom Program?

Lori holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.  After spending more than three decades engaged in an intense battle with food and her body, Lori was able to break free from those challenges using the principles she now teaches in her coaching practice.

In addition to being a Certified Nuuaria Method Mentor and Trainer, Lori is also certified in the Biology of Trauma – Energy Module and has received numerous certificates in trainings related to eating psychology, trauma, somatic experiencing and parts work. 

Lori has been a contributing author for two book projects Rise and Love Revolution – Making Miracles. She is also working on her own book to be published in 2022. She has been a featured speaker for: The Biology of Trauma classroom, The Self-Love Revolution classroom, Pick Up It’s God Calling Podcast, Delicious for Life group, and the Achieving Tranquility Summit. 

Lori is also the host of the Nourishing Woman Podcast where she and her monthly guests discuss topics that nourish women – body, mind and soul. Her Youtube channel Nourishing Weightloss features weekly videos on topics related to food and body freedom and living a life of authenticity.

How is Freedom Different from other programs 

Freedom is different in its approach to food Freedom and weight loss in a number of ways. 

First of all, Freedom takes into account the role of the nervous system in your ability to achieve the five pillars of food freedom and weight loss. Success is only possible when you are operating with a well- regulated nervous system. 

You see, due to traumas and accumulated stress, most of us are living in a state of survival. Our nervous systems are stuck on high alert. 

When living on high alert, we are easily triggered, have a hard time with impulse control, and have difficulty regulating our emotions. Self-soothing is also very challenging with a dysregulated nervous system. These are the reasons you reach for food even though you want to lose weight and regain your health.  

Your Freedom journey begins by rewiring your nervous system through a daily somatic experiencing practice so that reaching the five pillars of weight food freedom and weight loss are possible and permanently sustainable.

Secondly, Freedom is comprehensive in its approach. It covers mind, body and spirit because working with one and not the others is an incomplete solution that doesn’t yield real, permanent results.  

Thirdly, Freedom is completely individualized because your emotions and your challenges are different than anyone else’s, so your plan should be too. 

Fourthly, by utilizing principles of eating psychology, Freedom helps you understand why you have your current relationship with food and teaches you how to develop new skills in the area of self-nurturance and emotional resiliency so that you no longer feel the need to rely on food to help you regulate your emotions. 

Finally, Freedom is not just education. It is also the tools that allow you to integrate the knowledge and take it into your life through assignments and high touch support in 1-1 and group settings.
